Lamborghini Protection
Lamborghini's Italian paint system is thinner and softer than most owners expect. Combined with ground clearance measured in inches, wide rear tires that sling debris, and extensive carbon fiber — these vehicles need protection that accounts for how they're actually built.
• Why Lamborghini Needs Protection
Thin Italian Paint That Chips Fast
Lamborghini's factory clear coat is thinner than German or American standards. It chips more easily, shows swirl marks under correction, and tolerates very little margin for error. A single bumper repaint on a Lamborghini runs $15,000–$40,000 depending on the color — PPF prevents the damage entirely.
Carbon Fiber Needs Separate Treatment
Revuelto and performance variants use extensive exposed carbon fiber — hoods, fenders, splitters, engine covers. Carbon cannot be polished like paint, degrades under UV without protection, and often requires a different PPF finish than the painted panels. On the Revuelto, we typically run XPEL STEALTH on matte-painted surfaces and XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS on carbon fiber trim.
130mm Ground Clearance
The Temerario and Revuelto sit roughly five inches off the ground. Even with nose lift engaged, the front splitter collects road debris at close range — documented chip damage in under 1,500 miles of normal driving. Front-end PPF is the first priority on any Lamborghini.
Wide Rear Tires Throw Everything
Rear tires up to 355mm wide pick up and eject gravel, sand, and road debris into the rear quarter panels and rocker areas. The aggressive rear fender design on performance variants leaves these panels exposed. Full-body PPF coverage, not front-end only, is what we typically recommend.

• Frequently Asked Questions
How much PPF do I actually need?
+
Most Lamborghini owners choose full-body coverage because these cars sit low, throw more debris, and chip easily. Full front on a Temerario or Revuelto is $2,799, and full body gloss is $5,999. On a Urus, full front is $3,299 and full body is $6,999. Carbon fiber parts should be protected too. Ceramic coating is $2,200 for any model, and you save 10% when you book two services together.
Can you put PPF on the carbon fiber parts?
+
Yes. XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS works on clear-coated carbon fiber and helps protect it from sun damage. On cars with both matte paint and gloss carbon, like the Revuelto, we use XPEL STEALTH on the painted panels and ULTIMATE PLUS on the carbon fiber so the finish stays consistent.
Will the engine heat mess up the film on the back?
+
Yes, heat from the engine and exhaust can affect film on the back of the car. We plan for that during installation and use the right film and method in hot areas so it stays put.
What tint should I get for Florida heat?
+
XPEL PRIME XR PLUS ceramic tint. It blocks a lot of heat, which helps in a mid-engine car where the cabin already gets warm. Lamborghini windows and frameless glass also need careful installation so the tint fits cleanly and lasts.
Is ceramic coating worth it if I'm already getting PPF?
+
Yes. XPEL Fusion Plus adds extra UV and weather protection on exposed surfaces, including over PPF and on carbon fiber. In Sarasota's salt air and sun, it helps the finish stay cleaner and makes brake dust easier to wash off. It also helps bright Lamborghini colors stay rich between washes.
Dealer's offering a PPF package — should I just go with that?
+
Lamborghini dealers may offer protection packages, but coverage is often limited and pricing can be hard to compare. As an independent XPEL Certified shop, ALSET Custom uses XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS and STEALTH, offers full-body and custom coverage, and handles carbon fiber and mid-engine heat areas. You also get the full XPEL 10-year manufacturer warranty, and we can do PPF, ceramic coating, and window tint in one visit.
What's a bumper respray actually cost vs. just getting PPF?
+
A bumper repaint on a Lamborghini starts around $15,000 for standard colors and can reach $40,000+ for specialty finishes. Ad Personam paint can cost $150,000+ from the factory. Full-body PPF on a Temerario or Revuelto is $5,999, and on a Urus it's $6,999. That makes PPF far cheaper than repainting even one panel.
