Mercedes Protection
AMG vehicles demand protection that matches their engineering. From the G63's flat panels that catch every piece of road debris to the AMG GT's long hood collecting highway impacts at speed — and Magno matte finishes that cannot be polished or repaired — these vehicles need experienced installers who understand what's at stake.
• Why Mercedes Needs Protection
G63 Flat Panels Catch Everything
The G-Wagon's flat, vertical body panels catch road debris head-on — no aerodynamic curves to deflect it. Precut PPF templates can't wrap the edges properly on this body style, so we use the bulk method: full sheets applied panel by panel, then trimmed on the vehicle with all edges wrapped and tucked.
Magno Matte Paint Cannot Be Repaired
Magno finishes get their satin look from a textured clear coat. Scratches can't be polished out — buffing smooths the texture and creates permanent gloss spots. A damaged panel means a full repaint, often including adjacent panels for blending. XPEL STEALTH preserves the matte finish while adding self-healing protection.
AMG GT Long Hood Exposure
The AMG GT has one of the longest hoods in production — a big leading surface that collects road debris at speed. Low ground clearance and active aero elements add to the exposure. Full front PPF is a given for any AMG GT seeing Florida highway miles.
MANUFAKTUR Colors Are Irreplaceable
Mercedes MANUFAKTUR offers over 30 bespoke paint colors — historical Mercedes shades, two-tone applications, and even competitor color matching. Repainting a MANUFAKTUR finish means losing the factory-applied original, and color matching these unique colors at a body shop is a gamble. PPF keeps the original finish original.

• Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't you use precut PPF on a G-Wagon?
+
The G-Wagon has square panels, sharp edges, and exposed hinges, so precut film does not wrap the edges well. We use full sheets of XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS, trim them on the vehicle, and wrap the edges for better coverage.
What film works on Magno matte paint?
+
XPEL STEALTH is the right choice for Magno matte paint. Standard gloss film changes the finish, while STEALTH keeps the satin look and still protects the paint. We also use matte-safe ceramic products.
How much is full-body PPF on a G-Wagon?
+
Full front PPF on a G-Wagon starts at $3,299. Full body gloss is $6,999, and full body XPEL STEALTH for Magno matte is $7,499. The G63 is a more involved install because of the shape and trim, but the pricing is clear. Ceramic coating is $2,200.
Can you do a chrome delete on a G-Wagon?
+
Yes. Chrome delete is one of the most popular G-Wagon changes we do. We wrap the grille surround, running boards, mirror caps, badges, and trim in gloss black, matte black, or satin black vinyl. It can be done with PPF and ceramic coating in the same visit.
Will tint mess with my sensors and cameras?
+
No. We install XPEL PRIME XR PLUS ceramic tint around cameras and sensors, not over them. On a G63, the door sweep has to come off for a proper install, which takes a little longer but gives a cleaner result.
Do I actually need PPF if I'm already getting ceramic?
+
Yes. Ceramic coating helps with dirt and sun, but it does not stop rock chips. On an AMG GT, we recommend full front PPF at a minimum. Ceramic can go on top of the film and on the rest of the car.
Does a brand new Mercedes still need paint correction?
+
Often, yes. New cars can still come with dust, marks, or other small flaws from transport and prep. Anything left in the paint gets locked in once the film or coating goes on, so we inspect and clean the surface first.
